A. NO. There is currently no state or national licensure requirement. There are national registry/certification bodies, the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), through which a candidate may earn a voluntary registry in chosen specialties after passing a series of examinations. |

| A. Any relatively modern computer will work just fine. High-speed Internet access is required due to the high graphic content of our lessons. Microsoft Word is necessary to view and complete assignments and PowerPoint viewer or the complete PowerPoint program is required to view weekly lesson materials. |

| A. IMU enrolls new students every quarter. See the Calendar in our menu tabs for specific start dates. Our programs provide for individualized attention and students enter and complete in small teams throughout the year. |

| A. YES. All of our courses have been designed as stand alone courses. Courses are offered from a variety of specialities and include theory, lab, and clinic courses. Select and register for the one(s) that best fit your needs. Course availability may vary on a term by term basis. |

| A. YES. All of our advanced courses are appropriate for registry preparation. Instead of trying to digest all of the information in a weekend, we design a study plan that encompasses 5 weeks. Each week the students review assigned topics which are then discussed in detail during a weekly online class. Students may contact the instructor for guidance through email and phone. Test taking skills are taught as well. |

| A. You can re-enter the very next term, if space is available. We recommend that you not miss more than one term because your developing skills will decline. If space allows, you can audit classes you have already taken to keep your skills fresh during your time away from the regular schedule. |
